That was when Touch of Fate was truly born, I think. I’ve always felt that things are more real when they have names, which was why I named both of my children long before they were born. When Touch of Fate was Title Unknown, it was easy to dismiss it as a sort of writing exercise with vague, nebulous possibilities but no real substance. With a title in mind, I could go on to have mock interviews in my head. ) Interviewer: So, tell me what made you decide to write Touch of Fate? Me: Well, you see, it was a combination of a lot of things going on in my life at the time and everything leading up to it.

The writer might skip a step now and then, but the basic story is the same from book to book. Only the characters and the environment are different. If a writer has a successful formula, he or she will be well rewarded after achieving some notoriety. My other reading pet peeve is I expect, no-I demand-authors get their science right. A writer should stick to the bounds of well-understood physics.
